Steps to Enable SAML SSO with Azure AD
To enable SAML SSO for your account, you must be an owner with an active Team subscription. Follow these steps to set up SAML SSO:

Log in to the Azure Portal
Go to portal.azure.com and sign in with your administrator credentials. -
Access Azure Active Directory
In the left-hand menu, select Azure Active Directory. -
Create a New Enterprise Application
- Click on Enterprise Applications.
- Select New application.
- Choose Create your own application.
- Enter a name (e.g., “Cloudviz.io”) and select Integrate any other application you don’t find in the gallery (Non-gallery).
- Click Create.

Configure Single Sign-On (SSO)
- In the newly created application, select Single sign-on from the left menu.
- Choose SAML as the sign-on method.

Set Up Basic SAML Configuration
- Click Edit in the Basic SAML Configuration section.
- Identifier (Entity ID): Enter the Service Provider Entity ID provided in your Security & SSO > Cloudviz.io service provider details section.
- Reply URL (Assertion Consumer Service URL): Enter the Assertion Consumer Service URL from Cloudviz.io.
- Save your changes.

Configure Attributes & Claims
- Verify that the Name identifier format is set as
EmailAddress
. - Ensure that an attribute mapping is in place to pass the user’s email. For example:
- Name: email
- Source: user.mail
- Verify that the Name identifier format is set as

Download SAML Metadata
- After configuring SAML, download the Federation Metadata XML file from Azure AD.
- This file contains the necessary SAML details required by Cloudviz.io.

Integrate with Cloudviz.io
- In Cloudviz.io app navigate to Settings > Security & SSO and upload the downloaded metadata file from Azure AD. This completes the SAML SSO integration for your Cloudviz.io account.
- Once the configuration is successful, you will see an indication that “SAML is enabled” along with the “Single Sign-On URL.” Allow a few seconds for the URL to become fully operational.
Following these steps enables SAML SSO via Azure AD for your Cloudviz.io account, allowing your team to sign in using their Azure AD credentials.
